CRACKED PEPPER BY BEHR

The Color of the Year season has arrived in the realm of interior design, marking a period when color specialists share their insights on the shades expected to dominate trends in the upcoming months. Joining the ranks of esteemed paint companies, Behr has unveiled 'Cracked Pepper' as the chosen hue for 2024.

Described as a 'versatile soft black,' Cracked Pepper is specifically crafted to harness the comforting effects associated with dark colors in home interiors, while also making a sophisticated statement. Erika Woelfel, Vice President of Color and Creative Services at Behr Paint Company, remarks, "As we look into 2024, creating a sense of comfort and belonging will continue to drive design decisions – but now, as life returns to its more familiar rhythms, it’s time to allow our senses to come alive."

Behr's research on dark paint colors reveals that three-quarters of Americans would contemplate painting a room with a dark color. While dark palettes are often praised for infusing warmth and coziness into a space, they also offer an opportunity for the more adventurous to make a bold and expressive statement in their home decor.

Utilize the versatility of Cracked Pepper in various spaces and design styles. According to Erika Woelfel, Behr's Vice President of Color and Creative Services, Cracked Pepper enhances the natural expression in any space, from dining rooms to living areas.

Decorate all walls with Cracked Pepper for a bold statement, creating a cocoon-like atmosphere suitable for cozy living rooms. Alternatively, use the shade selectively, such as on a bedroom feature wall or as an accent color paired with neutrals, adding a touch of sophistication.

In 2024, embrace the refined and elegant look of dark hues like Cracked Pepper, reflecting the understated beauty of quiet luxury in your home.

 LIMITLESS BY GLIDDEN

Glidden by PPG has revealed its 2024 Color of the Year: Limitless. Described as a warm, honey-toned beige, this fresh take on neutrals aims to capture the statement quality of a primary color while maintaining the subtlety and versatility of classic neutrals. The color is designed for both homeowners and interior designers, offering flexibility to complement various design styles, whether used as a soft backdrop or to make a bold statement.

With the strapline 'anything but yellow,' Limitless reflects the trend towards warmer neutral tones, replacing the popularity of cool-toned grays. According to Ashley McCollum, PPG color expert for the Glidden brand, warm neutrals are becoming increasingly favored, signaling a shift in interior design preferences for 2024 and beyond.
